With the exhibition ARCHIVES, a curatorial journey is inaugurated that is not only a retrospective, but a critical rereading spanning several decades of work, passion, and research by two specialists of the Italian art world: art advisor Marco Bertoli and Angelo Enrico, gallerist and key figure within Milan’s cultural fabric.
The exhibition takes shape as both a visual and conceptual exploration of a personal archive that, over time, has become a living narrative — a dynamic space of ideas, perspectives, and intuitions.
From a love of nineteenth-century Italian art — capable of portraying a country in transformation, from the realist openings of naturalism to the revolution of the Macchiaioli and the experiments of divisionism — to the most conceptual expressions of contemporary art, ARCHIVES unfolds as a journey through taste, choices, and cultural trajectories, selected with rigor but also with a visionary gaze.
Il percorso della mostra si sviluppa secondo una logica tematica, intrecciando opere di artisti come Courbet, De Nittis, Fattori, Zandomeneghi, Balla, Fontana, Warhol, Christo e altri.
The aim is not so much to offer a historical chronology, but rather to construct an intimate narrative made of memories and relationships, where each work enters into dialogue with the others, maintaining a constant balance between emotion and reflection.

The passage of time — with its social, aesthetic, and cultural transformations — is recorded as a fluid sedimentation, in which the archive becomes an instrument for interpreting a changing world.
In this context, an eclectic and increasingly self-aware sensibility emerges, capable of bringing together nineteenth-century painting and contemporary installations, figurative tradition and the most radical visual experimentation, without apparent hierarchy.
